is feeling a bit melancholic this holiday season. I’m thinking about my old friend Jerry Benene who passed away last week. I am sad he is gone, but realize his legacy lives on in each and every photographer Jerry friended and mentored that came through the Philadelphia Inquirer’s door. At the funeral, John Slavin said, “It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, of which we’ll never see again.” I couldn’t agree more. Rest in Peace Old Friend.
“Good morning sunshine! This is your wake up call” is how Jerry Benene would phone me for an early photo assignment. RIP GB.
