Philadelphia, PA. – May 29, 2003: Six finalist classes cheer after they were awarded May 29, 2003 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia for being the best at convincing their peers on the importance of homework. Each of theose winning classes received $1,000 in audio/visual equipment for their class and school for entering the best commercial in their state, in the Dunkin’ Donuts Grade A Donuts: Lights! Camera! Homework! Commercial contest. Commercials were judged by the American Advertising Federation and the Grand Prize winning class, Oakdale Elementary School from Ijamsville, Md., won an additional $5,000 certificate. Dunkin’ Donuts Grade A Donuts Homework Achievement Program is a regional initiative that encourages homework excellence and helps bridge the gap between home and school. This program is part of Dunkin’ Donuts WEE CARE: Comunity Partnership for Children. Throughout the year, Dunkin’ Donuts WEE CARE works with local leaders and within individual neighborhoods to protect and nurture the area’s youth.
